Legal Muse

Insert witty tagline here…

How would you classify this person?

with 10 comments

After a grueling night shift, I’m placidly walking out to my car in Pentagon North Parking when I run across this monstrosity.

How would you term the owner of this car?

a. Tool (my first impression)
b. Joe (USNA slang)
c. “That Guy” (Adam’s suggestion)
d. Insert your own when you comment

P.s. Can anyone say lack of OPSEC?

  1. You left the option to call this guy a D Bag out, which he clearly
is. I am willing to bet all that I make that that D Bag works in security or a higher level job. He has a clearance for sure. When you see just the back end of this car and the rest of it submerged in the Potomac, you will know not to do stupid “S” like this.

  2. Needs a primer in OPSEC, preferably by a guy named Boris who is waiting for him in his house with a length of rubber hose and a list of questions. Lot of uses for a three foot length of garden hose, don’t you know.

Otherwise, yeah, TOOL. Maybe even a TOLL BAG.

  5. Yeah, I’ve spent a good amount of time trying to figure out what rank/position this person is. I think your ego must be super fragile for you to put something like this on a license plate… so I think that point’s to Mel’s suggestion the best. Senior Officer.

  6. i may or may not start emailing you your own comments, edited for punctuation and grammar. although i think that being criticized by someone who refuses to capitalize and quotes using literal strings might be enough of a slap in the face to prevent “point’s” from ever happening again.

  9. tool

so, i was using Bill’s computer to write that i thought the license plate guy was a tool. Bill’s computer had Bill’s info filled in, so it came up as comment 8 being from Bill. then i realized that it looked like Bill was calling Dave a tool. sorry, Dave! although, that grammar comment was a bit toolish.
